Entry rules & guidelines

• The entry deadline is Friday 19 September 2008. Any entries received after this date WILL NOT be submitted to the judging panel, although payment may still be processed and no refunds can be made.
• Cleared funds must be received by Venture Marketing Group (VMG) by Friday 19 September in order for entries to be considered by the judging panel.
• Entries should not exceed the specified word limit; 2,500 words for Organisational and Training Venue entries and 1,500 for the Outstanding Contribution to the Learning Industry. Any additional words WILL NOT be submitted to the judging panel.
• All entries must include the entry form (download online at www.learnevents.com) and the admin fee per entry.
• Entrants can enter more than one award – a charge will be made for each category.
• Incomplete submissions will not be considered, but will be charged.
• All claims must be substantiated.
• Entrants must be as objective as possible in their entries.
• The categories may be changed at the discretion of the organisers.
• Submissions will not be returned.
• All material submitted will remain strictly confidential to the judges.
• The judges’ decision will be final and there will be no written correspondence regarding their decisions.
• The winner of each category will be announced at the Awards Dinner.
• The World of Learning Awards 2008 is open to all within the field of learning and development that can demonstrate excellence and achievement in what they do.

Booking terms & conditions

• All entrants must comply with the rules as set out in the Awards document and on www.learnevents.com to qualify for entry and to receive the two seats as part of their entry.
• Payments MUST be made and cleared by 19 September 2008 to qualify for the early booking discount.
• Payments MUST be made and cleared by 19 November 2008 in order for seats to be secured at the event; no entry will be allowed to those whose funds have not been received by VMG.
• Tickets will be sent to you two weeks prior to the Awards Dinner.
• All prices are exclusive of VAT and tickets are non-refundable.
• All information is correct at time of going to press.
• VMG reserves the right to substitute speakers or amend venues where necessary.
• In the unlikely event of the Awards Dinner being cancelled the value of the tickets will be refunded in full.
• Please note: the fee for each award entry of £185 (not including Outstanding Contribution) includes two seats at the Awards Dinner.
