Richard Hyde, CEO, Mindclick 

Richard escaped the clutches of research at Nottingham University to form Atlantic Link and now Mind Click. The hats he’s worn over (too) many years include instructional designer, programmer, project manager, product developer and voiceover artist (desperate measure).

Richard keeps a keen eye on technology but his passion is learning design –​ ​particularly the forgotten skill of creative writing. He loves elegant simplicity the most –​ in learning approach, creativity and technical design. He adds humour at any opportunity to negate the drab brush learning can be tarred with.

Richard works with RBS, Tesco and BT to revitalise their learning and help internal teams achieve their creative potential.

Mike Hawkyard, Managing Director, Amuzo






Mike is the Managing Director of award-  winning game studio Amuzo. He has  been helping global brands successfully  promote  their products and services through  games for over 16 years. Following the recent investment in Amuzo from leading  eLearning company Unicorn Training,

Mike is now sinking his teeth into the world of serious games and games based learning. Mobile games developed by Amuzo have been played over 3/4 of a billion times and have been No.1 on the iOS App Store in 150 countries. 

Richard Law, Head of Learning Solutions, Cuerden Consulting 






Richard is Cuerden Consulting’s Head of Learning Solutions, responsiblefor the  Learning Solutions Team (LST). Holding a  BSc Honours degree in Multimedia and  Media Communications, Richard has 15  years commercial experience in the field of  bespoke eLearning solutions. 

Richard has extensive experience designing and managing award winning developments in bespoke and blended eLearning, mobile learning and virtual learning solutions.

Lucy Hodge, Instructional Design Consultant, Walkgrove 

Lucy’s career as an instructional design consultant provides her with theopportunity to combine her passions for technology, learning and education, and to work with clients across diverse sectors to devise effective and exciting training initiatives.

Lucy is also working towards a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning to expand and develop her knowledge and understanding of the field as it relates to her work as an instructional designer. Her areas of academic interest include the psychology of learning, developing intercultural learning solutions and the gamification of adult learning initiatives.

Walkgrove Limited - Walkgrove Ltd is, first and foremost, a training company run by training professionals. The design and development of bespoke learning solutions (in all dia) is our primary focus and our core skills are instructional design and project management helping us to create award winning e-learning solutions.

Martyn Stevenson-Read, Digital learning & media manager, Academy, BT Group 






Martyn Stevenson-Read leads a digital  learning and media team withinBT’s  Academy – producing eLearning, animations,  live action video and web designs to enable  learning across a 90,000+ workforce. His  role also involves seeking out new and  innovative ways to support BT’s company-  wide learning strategy. He is also an eLearning Network board member and editor of the eLearning Network blog.

Clive Shepherd, Consultant, Onlignment

Clive is a learning and development specialist, with a particular interest in the applications of media and technology to learning at work. In a career spanning more than 35 years, Clive has headed up a corporate training function, co-founded a leading multimedia development business and operated as an independent consultant operating worldwide. In recent years, Clive has devoted his attention to the design and implementation of next generation blended learning solutions. He is a regular speaker at international conferences, has been recognised with two lifetime achievement awards, has written five books and more than 200 articles, and contributes regularly to his blog, Clive on Learning. For four years he was Chair of the eLearning Network. His new book, More Than Blended Learning, was launched in January 2015.

Samantha Yates, Instructional Designer, 
Unicorn Training Group



Sam Yates is an award-winning eLearning Designer with a passion for finding characters and stories within even the most mundane of subjects.

Sam works in sunny Bournemouth with Unicorn Training as part of their Learning Design team, and has extensive experience in helping many companies, from high-end financial services organisations to national and international charities, achieve the outcomes they want.  In the past year she was named 'Instructional Designer of the Year' at the eLearning Awards, and won the Global Giveback competition via LINGOS and Last Mile Learning. In her spare time she runs her own photography business Beach Addict Photography.
