Phil is an experienced strategic learning leader with over 20 years’ expertise in talent development, employee performance, and organisational transformation. As Head of Learning at Thames Water, he oversaw a large scale portfolio covering the full remit of organisational development including skills frameworks, leadership and management development, competency assurance, supplier governance, and cultural change in the UK’s largest water utility.
His career spans senior roles at Thames Water, the John Lewis Partnership, AkzoNobel, Capita KnowledgePool, and beyond, where he has driven enterprise-wide learning strategies, launched multi-million pound leadership and apprenticeship programmes, and embedded innovative skills and capability frameworks.
A Fellow of the Learning and Performance Institute, Phil is also a former Chairman and Director of the eLearning Network. He is recognised for shaping people strategies that align business needs with employee development, ensuring measurable impact and future-ready workforces.
